FREEDOM.
PEACE.
TRANQUILITY.
TOUCHING SPANISH SOIL
AND SPEAKING THEIR LANGUAGE.
A new adventure awaited and I allowed every step to touch my soul. Through their flamenco music, local cuisine, narrow-lane villages and the Spaniards along the way, I lived a three-month dream. For me, it was very personal because this is where my ancestral, gypsy blood began; northern Spain near Salamanca and southern Spain near Malaga. I dreamed. I created a plan. I made it happen. This mini-expat journey to Spain was the catalyst for my blog, Sassy Gypsy Strolls. I will share the music I heard, the food I ate, the villages I drove "el carro" through and the adventures along the way. I will introduce you to the friendly strangers I met, share genealogy tips and bring their culture into your own "thought trips."
Oh, and did I mention photographs? When I returned from Spain after three months gallivanting over Spanish soil, my iPhone carried over 12,000 photos. My friend wondered why my phone hadn't exploded already...
